To get to this restaurant from the field, exit the park left and then left again at the end of the street on Convoy Court. Turn Right at Shawline and then right at Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Go South on I-805 to I-8 west and exit Mission Center Road. Restaurant is on the North/West corner of the freeway intersection behind Old Navy.
Soup Plantation - Kearny Mesa- (adjacent to Hickman,Villa, Kinsell & United Fields). From Kinsell Field exit the park left and then left again at the end of the street on Convoy Court. Turn Right at Shawline and you will see the restaurant across the intersection. They have a selection of fresh salad bar, fresh soups, pasta and lots of over healthy stuff.
TGI Friday’s - La Jolla This is one of our favorite restaurants to go after we’ve finished a tournament. They like it if you call before you go over so that they can set-up a big table for you. To find this restaurant: Exit Hickman Complex by turning left on to Hickman Field Drive, at the end of the street turn left on Convoy Court, the right at Shawline. Then right on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Enter I-805 North. Take first exit to I-52 West. At I-5 go North and exit 2nd exit at Nobel Drive (Mormon Temple is right there on the right). Exit left off the freeway. The restaurant is 2 blocks on the right. There are also a lot of other good eating places right there, like one called Islands and California Pizza Kitchen.
Westfield Shopping Towns - UTC Mall - There is a great food court at the UTC shopping center in La Jolla. Corner of La Jolla Village Drive and Genesee. From Kinsell exit the field and turn left . At the end of the stree turn left on Convoy Court, the right at Shawline. Then right on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Enter I-805 North and exit La Jolla Village Drive, turn west towards tall office buidlings. Mall will be on the left hand side, turn when you see Sears and Mall is in the back so park behind Sears. They have every type of food you can think of, I think around 20 or so vendors.
